AssetWise continues its mission to enhance happiness and livability in cities by launching the “SUKHA SUKHI: THE HAPPY TOILET PROJECT” design competition. The initiative invites designers, the general public, and students to showcase their creativity in designing “toilets that bring happiness to everyone.” The goal is to transform Thailand’s public restrooms into clean, safe, accessible, and inclusive spaces—offering a total prize pool of THB 260,000.
Mr. Kromchet Vipanpong, Chief Executive Officer of AssetWise Public Company Limited (ASW)—a leading lifestyle property developer under the concept “We Build Happiness”—stated that the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emphasize access to clean water and sanitation as a key global agenda to improve people’s hygiene and well-being. Public toilets, therefore, are an essential component of sanitary infrastructure, reflecting quality of life and serving as an indicator of a city’s livability in terms of health and comfort.
Guided by this vision, AssetWise is taking part in improving the community’s happiness and quality of life through “SUKHA SUKHI: THE HAPPY TOILET PROJECT,” themed “Toilets That Bring Happiness to Everyone.” The competition welcomes professional designers, independent creators, general participants, and students passionate about design and public service to develop prototypes of clean, safe, and user-friendly public restrooms. These designs may serve as practical models for construction in public spaces nationwide—such as parks, forest parks, temples, schools, and government or local offices—ensuring accessibility and equality for people of all ages and abilities.

The “SUKHA SUKHI: THE HAPPY TOILET PROJECT” design contest is honored to have a distinguished panel of judges, including representatives from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, Thailand Interior Designers’ Association, Thai Association of Landscape Architects, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and AssetWise executives.
Contest details:
Participants are required to design stand-alone public toilet buildings—including male, female, and unisex/accessible restrooms. The competition is divided into three categories:
- Professional design firms
- Independent designers and the general public
- Students (high school and university level)
Each participant or team may submit more than one entry.
Entries will be judged based on six criteria:
- Function – Practical, safe, and user-friendly design.
- Aesthetic – Beauty, harmony, and atmosphere.
- Sustainability – Efficient, eco-friendly resource use.
- Creativity – Originality and clarity of concept.
- Technology – Innovative use of technology to enhance hygiene and efficiency.
- Constructability – Feasibility, maintenance, and quality control in real-world construction.
Submission period:
November 17 – December 31, 2025 (closing at 11:59 p.m. Thailand time)
Judging and announcement of winners: January 16, 2026
